Have you noticed anything different lately? Those frigid nights, shorter days and that festive spirit in the air? The holidays have arrived in Funner California! And while Thanksgiving may have come and gone in one swift bite, there’s still plenty to celebrate in the next few weeks. Here are a few cocktails from your pals at Harrah’s Resort SoCal to help with the festivities!
Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice
Not ready to let Thanksgiving go? Lucky for you we’re keeping the pumpkin pie spirit alive with this indulgent concoction. Combine 1.5oz Vodka, 1.5oz Bailey’s Pumpkin Spice, simple syrup, 1 teaspoon of pumpkin puree, a dash of half and half and a few ice cubes into a cocktail shaker and give it a few rattles. Strain into your favorite glass get to sippin’! $11
Apple Cinnamon Old Fashioned
Not into the sweets? How about something that’ll keep you warm through the cold winter nights? Give the Apple Cinnamon Old Fashioned a shot. We take 2 oz. Buffalo Trace Bourbon, .5 oz. Apple Brandy, .5 oz. cinnamon simple syrup and 3 dashes of Jerry Thomas Bitters give it a quick stir in a cocktail shaker. Toss an ice sphere or a few cubes into your favorite bucket glass and garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick. $11
White Christmas Martini
Not in the Christmas spirit yet? Drink one of these and call us on Christmas morning! The White Christmas Martini combines your favorite holiday flavors to create a cocktail that’s sure to get you belting out a carol or two. Combine 1 oz. white chocolate liqueur, .5 oz. Malibu Rum, .25 oz. peppermint simple syrup, ice and a dash of cream in a cocktail shaker and shake it like a wrapped present. Garnish a martini glass with crushed candy cane, pour your cocktail through a strainer, sip and get to singing those carols! $9
