Harrah’s Resort SoCal is dedicated to being your first resort for FUN. We love spoiling our guests with top-notch amenities and experiences. But we are also your first resort for giving. We care deeply about our community and its residents. Our neighboring communities are so important to us that we award thousands of dollars to Southern California’s most influential and impactful non-profit organizations each year! We are all-in on making a difference and this is Harrah’s Resort SoCal’s All-in 4 Change.
In 2015 Harrah’s Resort SoCal launched a program that encouraged San Diego communities to recommend deserving non-profits to us for a chance to win cash grants. “Harrah’s Resort SoCal wanted to create a world-class giving program that incorporated fun and excitement while still retaining our Code of Commitment,” said Sheryl Sebastian Corporate Citizenship and Communications Manager at Harrah’s Resort SoCal. “The result was All-in 4 Change.” That first year, All-in 4 Change was a resounding success awarding 12 organizations grants totaling $67,000. Winners included San Diego Blood Bank, USO of San Diego and many more. This year the charitable movement has grown into an overwhelmingly successful program eager to give away $125,000 to 15 non-profits with a first place prize of $50,000!
Sounds like a great way to help your favorite non-profit right? Here’s how to get involved. All non-profit organizations can apply through our All-in 4 Change page. Are you a social media butterfly like us? Perfect, be sure to tag your favorite non-profit in our All-in 4 Change Facebook,Twitter and Instagram posts. The organization can apply via the link in our posts or our Instagram bio. The All-in 4 Change application period closes March 31, so encourage your favorite organization to apply before then!
Now that your charity has applied for All-in 4 Change, it’s time to spread the word and vote. Open voting begins April 10 on our All-in 4 Change homepage and closes April 24. Be sure to tell your friends. In 2016 we saw 82 organizations and more than 20,000 votes. Will your non-profit’s name be on the 2107 All-in 4 Change winning check in June? You have to vote to find out!
And now the $125,000 question. Why do we do it? According to Sebastian: “Charitable giving has always been our way and our resort has donated more than $3.6 million in cash and in-kind gifts to organizations in our community to date. This program helps us deepen our roots in our local community in a fun way, engaging our employees, guests and those who work so hard to make life better for us in California.”
