What would you do if you ran a zoo? We’ll tell you what Dr. Seuss would do. Better yet, we’ll show you. The world knows Dr. Seuss for his child-friendly art and books. But did you know he secretly painted? Yep, he painted and then some. He was a purveyor of unorthodox taxidermy and he sculpted as well. And it’s these sculptures that are the star of the art show coming to Harrah’s Resort SoCal July 29th!

Explore the rare and unknown art of Theodore Seuss Geisel during his most prolific art phase. From the Kangaroo Bird to the Mulberry Unicorn, you can immerse yourself in the world of Seuss art and gaze upon the world’s most recognizable UNheard-of animals and characters shown in only 20 galleries around the world.

Free for all ages, “If I Ran the Zoo” is a collaboration between Harrah’s Resort SoCal and Exclusive Collections Gallery. It will offer a reading area and host “story time” for children and adults alike along with showcasing 40 of Dr. Seuss’ rarest pieces. Listening to The Cat in the Hat with a glass of wine? Yes please! Are you an art collector? Perfect! Reproductions of some of these rare pieces will be for sale on-site.

So get that look of amazement ready and prepare for some seriously Funner story times. You’ll find Dr. Seuss’ zoo on the 2nd floor of the South Tower each weekend from July 29th to August 27th.
